Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Technician to cover a long term ongoing contract in Erith.
Must have experience working with a range of industrial machinery components, i.e. mechanical drive systems and their components, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, transfer pipework, conveying equipment, etc.
Full CV with relevant work history required to be considered for the position.
NVQ level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3, or similar in a mechanical engineering discipline required.
Hours of Work:
7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime available to suit the site needs.

ErithKey Responsibilities:
Provide planned preventative maintenance in accordance with site schedules Carry our fault finding and mechanical repairs during breakdown situations Work to safe systems of work and other documentation provided and always with yours and other's safety in mind. Communicate effectively with other team members. Identify the correct equipment required for each task and utilise that equipment safely
Key Individual Skills & Attributes:
Be organized, adaptable and flexible in your approach to work. Work safely paying attention to detail. Able to work to instruction and prepared to carry out any role that your Manager/Supervisor may reasonably request from you. Experience working with a range of industrial machinery components, i.e. motors, drive systems, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc. Sound knowledge of Industrial mechanical installation and maintenance. Hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification or apprenticeship A positive, can-do attitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent time keeping and attendance.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 18.00-25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
Work Location: In person
