Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Management team based at a university campus in Ealing. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week from 13:00 to 22:00, Monday to Friday.

The role:

  • To undertake the maintenance and repair of buildings under contract to the University of West London, predominantly in the Ealing area but also occasional work in Reading
  • To maintain all buildings and plant ensuring service standards are maintained to the required levels
  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standards and is compliant with statutory legislation
  • To ensure the prompt and accurate completion of any paperwork and electronic documentation.
  • Knowledge of principals of Compliance legislation and importance of record keeping
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 13:00 to 22:00. Overtime may be a requirement from time to time.
  • Standby duties on a rotational basis, with appropriate remuneration
The person:
  • Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
  • Will have experience in a similar role in building services/FM ideally gained in an education environment
  • Willingness to attain cross skilling and to undertake training and qualify as an Authorised Person as required
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills
  • Ability to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems
  • Experience in a Healthcare environment is advantageous
  • Must have a valid UK driving licence
  • Must have a good understanding of health and safety best practice; formal training an advantage
