Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Location: Fantasy Island, Sea Lane, Skegness, PE25 1RH
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: from 14.00 - 17.28 per hour based on experience
Minimum 37.5 hours per week guaranteed
Role summary
We're looking for a mechanically minded technician to focus on fitting, overhauls, and rebuilds of ride components. You'll perform precision tasks on, amongst others, gearboxes, hydraulics, and structural elements, helping to maintain smooth and safe operation throughout the season.
Key duties
Strip down, inspect and rebuild mechanical assemblies (gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics) Carry out alignments, machining and fabrication as required Complete planned refurbishment programmes during quieter periods Assist with load-testing and performance monitoring Support electrical colleagues by learning and helping with basic wiring tasks
You will have
NVQ or equivalent in mechanical engineering or fitting Experience with hydraulic systems, belt drives and CNC or manual machining Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays
