Can you operate, maintain and repair process control plant and equipment?
Do you thrive in challenging environments?
We want to be the water company people want to be supplied by and want to work for.
You'll join in this crucial role to keep the assets at our pumping stations, reservoirs or production sites maintained so we can keep the water flowing for customers. Fewer things are more important to our communities than having reliably clean running water. It's your initiative that will help us to find the best solutions.
As someone who works under their own direction, you'll be trusted to use your knowledge and experience to find solutions that meet the highest standards in terms of quality, safety and cost. You'll attend to water production sites to complete repairs, respond to breakdowns, supervise the work of contractors and restore faults. You'll maintain and install a range of plant and water treatment equipment, including pumps, motors, chemical analysers and gas dosing equipment.
Your earnings would be made up of a base salary between 37,559 - 43,436 and an allowance for working on a standby with the potential overtime. We provide a company vehicle for work. You'll generally work 37 hours per week between the hours of 7.30am to 15.30 Monday to Friday. Following your training, you'll work a 1in6 standby rota to respond to incidents outside of normal hours and at weekends. In return, you'll receive additional standby allowance payment (~2,000 per annum).
We offer a clear pay progression structure to encourage development. We're open to providing training to help you take your knowledge to the next step. As an experienced maintenance technician, this is a great opportunity to use your talents to grow a career within the water industry.
