Mechanical Maintenance Technician

This role is perfect for someone with mechanical maintenance experience looking to expand their skill set within a highly skilled Engineering Department where training, overtime, and progression are readily available.
The Role

• Preventative, corrective, overhaul, and breakdown maintenance on automated machinery including pumps, mixers, conveyor/drive systems, packaging equipment, and general site services
• Investigate, diagnose, and rectify mechanical faults across a wide range of production equipment
• Carry out hands-on mechanical tasks such as fitting, welding, dismantling/rebuilding, and parts replacement
• Strictly follow established procedures including 5S and Health & Safety standards
• 8:00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Callout rota: 1 week in every 5 (paid at 1.5x Mon-Sat and 2x Sunday, with additional mileage paid when and if required to go to customer site(s))

The Person

• ONC/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience working within a maintenance team in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong hands-on mechanical skills such as fitting, welding, dismantling, rebuilding
