The Opportunity
CarmichaelUK is recruiting for a Mechanical Package Manager to join a major redevelopment project at the Royal Navy's Devonport Dockyard. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on one of the UK's most complex and high-profile infrastructure programmes within a secure MOD facility.
Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required (process can take up to 8 weeks).
Applicants must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past five years.
Key Responsibilities
Manage procurement, planning, and delivery of all mechanical works in compliance with project requirements and UK law.
Oversee design reviews to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant construction solutions.
Monitor progress and financial reporting, ensuring quality and commercial targets are achieved.
Lead and motivate your team to deliver to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all necessary authorisations and appointments are in place.
About You
HNC, BSc, BEng, MEng, or MSc in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
SMSTS qualification.
CSCS (White PQP/AQP) card.
Proven experience in a similar role within large, complex infrastructure projects - ideally within the defence or nuclear sector.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
