A leading Mechanical fit-out contractor in Central London is seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee high-profile Category A and Category B fit-out projects.

You will manage the full lifecycle of mechanical installations in commercial and public sector projects, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of Project / Contracts Manager:

Lead the delivery of mechanical fit-out projects (Cat A & Cat B) from pre-construction to handover. Oversee planning, procurement, cost control, and operational execution. Manage site-based teams, including supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and direct labour. Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, health & safety legislation, and QA/QC protocols. Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to meet SLA, KPI, and financial targets. Procure equipment, labour, and subcontractors in line with company procedures. Chair meetings, technical reviews, and progress updates.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Site Manager, or Project Manager on mechanical fit-out projects (Cat A & Cat B). HNC or higher qualification in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering or a relevant mechanical trades qualification. Strong understanding of mechanical and HVAC systems in commercial fit-outs. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining budget and timeline adherence. Familiarity with Design & Build (D&B) and traditional schemes. Flexibility for occasional travel as required.
