Job Description

We're looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Thames Water framework covering sits in the Northern Thames Valley region (Buckinghamshire).


Location: covering sites at Stewkley and Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire - some remote working available, with travel to the offices required also.




Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Join our thriving Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme (WAAP) and make a real difference in delivering essential infrastructure. As a mechanically biased Project Engineer, you'll collaborate with electrical colleagues to ensure MEICA focused projects meet both Kier and Thames Water KPIs. What will you be responsible for?



As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you'll be working within the Thames Water team, supporting them in delivering high-quality mechanical installations for wastewater assets. Your day to day will include:


Managing mechanical package plants against Thames Water standards and technical specifications

Selecting and supervising supply chain partners to ensure quality and compliance

Maintaining quality standards and addressing non-conformance proactively

Supporting commissioning activities for mechanical plant installations

Collaborating with the site management team to resolve issues and ensure project success

What are we looking for?



This role of Mechanical Project Engineer is great for you if:


You hold a BEng/ONC/HNC/BTEC qualification in Mechanical Engineering

You have experience in the Water Industry with knowledge of mechanical installations

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

You have relevant safety qualifications (CSCS card, SSSTS, Confined Spaces)

You enjoy collaborative working and building relationships across teams
