Full Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Salary - 38,000.00 - 42,000.00 depending on experience, plus Serco benefits.
The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for the management and delivery of allocated Trust initiated Mechanical Lifecycle Works projects. This will include participating in the planning, design and delivery of any SPV Lifecycle Project works interfacing with the Serco Estates and Facilities team. The Mechanical project manager will support the Lifecycle Manager within the effective running of the entire end to end Lifecycle works process
Main Accountabilities:
Project management of Serco/SPV initiated Mechanical Lifecycle works, to include co-ordination, programming, and financial control to stringent requirements of both timescales and costs.
The preparation of tender documentation and evaluation of tender returns for Mechanical Lifecycle Works
Provide reports detailing the asset condition and any work necessary to maintain the Hospital estate at the appropriate designated maintenance standard.
Participate in six monthly environmental and estates condition audits to identify asset conditions and future maintenance requirements.
Minimise disruption to the clinical continuity and mitigate / control project specific risks from unavailability and service performance deductions.
Assists in the delivery of any Mechanical reactive Life Cycle works of the Annual Life Cycle programme as directed.
Comply with the procedures as detailed in the companies Quality Assurance Manuals and Health and Safety Policies, including that of the CDM Regulations.
Liaison with the SPV, Trust and other members of the Estates Management team as required.
Liaison with and management of any external design consultants and architects associated with lifecycle Schemes.
Carry out assigned Authorised/Responsible person duties for up to three individual Mechanical related disciplines.
Participates in the preparation of the Annual Programme identifying plant/services which may comprise services delivery.
Deputies for the lifecycle Manager works as and when required.
What you'll need to do the role:
Knowledge of Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts; preferably in a hospital setting
Proven operational and Project delivery experience within the facilities management service, including pre and post tender work with a focus on operational and project delivery.
Ability to manage, interpret and suggest alternative solutions to operational and Capital scheme issues.
Substantial Hard FM sector experience
Well-developed financial and analytical skills and good competency to work with complex data from a variety of sources and produce detailed reports.
Effective communication and customer relationship skills, including possessing a high level of diplomacy. Will work collaboratively with both internal and external partners.
