Job Description
A leading contractor is looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor with a strong pipefitting background to join a major sewage treatment works project in Southwest London. This is a long term role on a complex, high value programme with consistent workload for the next two years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise mechanical installation and pipefitting activities across multiple work fronts
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and daily task allocation
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, to specification, and in line with quality standards
- Coordinate with engineering, commissioning, and wider delivery teams
- Support progress reporting, RAMS, permits, and site documentation
- Resolve technical issues and drive productivity on site
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within the water or wastewater sector
- Strong pipefitting background (industrial or process plant environments)
- Excellent understanding of mechanical installation standards and safe systems of work
- Ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and interfaces on a live construction environment
- Experience on sewage treatment works or water treatment projects is essential
- CSCS and relevant mechanical qualifications
- 400 per day (Inside IR35)
- Long term assignment on a major, well resourced project
- Stable pipeline of work with a reputable contractor
