Location: Bembridge
We are recruiting for an Mechanical Technician to join our expanding and knowledgeable production team in Bembridge. This role requires a skilled technician to support Part 21G production by working (primarily) in our undercarriage workshop assembling leg components in line with CAA regulations & BN building standards, with the intention to develop this further under 145 maintenance to repair undercarriage components in the future.
Requirement of the role will be to produce components in a mechanical manner with heavy influence on hydraulics and mechanical assembly.###
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical fitting, installation (and eventually repair) to undercarriage components of BN aircraft.
Use of hydraulic pressurised systems to complete assembly.
Testing of final products in accordance with CAA regulations and BN quality standards, taking responsibility to ensure compliance at all times.
To communicate material needs against build times to the procurement team to ensure resource is always available, especially for long lead time items.
Mechanical / Hydraulic skills & experience are essential to be able to perform the duties of this role.
Aviation Mechanical experience would be desirable, however, experience in automative mechanics or similar will be considered.
Ability to learn from our experienced technicians in an active working environment.
Desire to learn and/or develop skills within the aviation industry.
Passionate about aviation and the development of BN through our production journey.
Attention to detail and eye for improvement to help develop processes in line with regulatory compliance.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Strong knowledge of general repairs and maintenance across various trades
3 years experience working in a similar role
Experience working under CAA regulations
Ability to achieve UK security clearance
Full UK driving licence
