Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Food & Beverage manufacturer who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Technician to support their multi-site operation. This is a days-based role offering long-term stability and exposure across several production environments.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, machinery installation, and fault-finding across production equipment, ensuring plant reliability and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Machine set-up, installation, and commissioning
Planned and reactive maintenance activities
Fault diagnosis and repair of production machinery
Root cause analysis and continuous improvement support
Fabrication and welding when required
Pre-maintenance inspections and maintenance execution
Accurate completion of maintenance records using CMMS
Adherence to all site health & safety procedures
Participation in a 1 in 4 on-call rota
Candidate Requirements
Experience within a Food & Beverage manufacturing environment
Strong hands-on maintenance and repair experience
Workshop practice and use of general machine tools
Fabrication and welding skills
Working knowledge of industrial utilities (compressed air, steam generation, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Proficient with hand and power tools
Experience using CMMS
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
Safety-focused approach
