Job Posting: Equipment Support Technician (Entry-Level)

Are you someone who enjoys working with intricate mechanical parts and solving technical problems? We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Equipment Support Technician to join our Operations Test Team.
In this role, you'll support the maintenance, repair, and servicing of production equipment across our manufacturing lines - helping to keep downtime to a minimum and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
What You'll Be Doing:
Assisting the Senior Equipment Support Technician with equipment repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
Troubleshooting issues, disassembling machinery, replacing components, and calibrating or realigning equipment as needed.
Providing first-line technical support to production teams.
Working independently at times to support engineers and technicians on repair tasks.
Maintaining a strong focus on precision, accuracy, and safety in all tasks.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in small mechanical assembly (e.g., clock or watchmaking, or other fine mechanical work).
Previous experience using or maintaining fibre-related equipment is a plus.
A genuine interest in working with precision mechanical parts.
A methodical, patient approach and strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage and prioritise tasks with minimal supervision.
Adaptability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Hours: Between 7am and 4pm (Monday to Friday)
This role is initially for 6 months but with a strong likelihood of extension.
Pay: 13.92 per hour (PAYE)
