```Overview:
As a Mechanical Fitter at Imperial Engineering Teesside LTD, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our customers mechanical systems and equipment. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
-Installation: As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation of new machinery and equipment according to engineering specifications and safety standards. This may involve assembling components, aligning parts, and testing machinery to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintenance and Repair: You will conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections on mechanical systems to identify any issues or potential problems. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing machinery, including replacing defective parts, adjusting components, and performing necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies is paramount. You will be responsible for adhering to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Collaboration: Collaboration with our customers, including engineers, supervisors, and operators, is essential. You will work closely with members of their team to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and contribute to the overall efficiency of their operations.
Requirements:
- Time served apprenticeship in mechanical fitting and maintenance
-Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role, preferably in a heavy industry environment.
- Experience with recycling Equipment would be an advantage
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Fabrication skills are essential
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
