Salary: 38,350 - 40,270 per annum plus a 4,000 shift allowance
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 18:00 to 06:00

As Mechanical Technician you will be hands-on and responsible for the delivery of high-standard maintenance work on critical mechanical infrastructure. Your work will be crucial in minimising operational downtime and business disruption.
Main Responsibilities:
Planned & Reactive Maintenance:
Deliver mechanical maintenance on essential systems, including pumps, air handling plant, and associated systems, as defined in the CAFM system or allocated by your Supervisor.
Safety & Compliance:
Undertake all work to a high standard, maintaining a safe working environment and adhering strictly to all SLAs, KPIs, site policies, and Health and Safety rules.
Fault Finding:
Respond promptly to defects, faults, and client requests, working with the team to identify root causes of breakdowns.
Contractor Management:
Oversee and escort contractors as required, ensuring their work is completed satisfactorily in line with risk assessments and method statements.
Record Keeping:
Maintain and update all necessary records, including logbooks for statutory inspections, and complete work orders within the designated time period using the mobile PDA device.
Support & Improvement:
Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery and take a proactive role in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
Essential:
Possess detailed, hands-on knowledge of installed building engineering services (including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems).
Hold a Mechanical NVQ/BTEC Level 2 (or equivalent). Specific certifications in Medical Gas Pipeline Systems Competent Person (MGPSCP) and Ventilation Competent Person (VCP) sign-off are required.
Minimum of five years' practical experience working within a facilities maintenance or similar operational engineering environment.
