Job Description

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a business experienced across decommissioning, waste management, engineering design, R&D, and refurbishment projects. They are looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician on a contract until the end of 2026 for a project at Hunterston nuclear power plant.
The Mechanical Technician role comes with a rate between 34-35 per hour, working CIS Umbrella.
Candidates MUST hold an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
Key skills

Performing plant operations, installations, assembly, dismantling, and other activities on equipment within the site and workshop environment on general plant and equipment.

40 hours per week
CIS Umbrella
34 - 35 an hour.

Candidates must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or relevant courses.
Security Clearances are not required but a valid BPSS & NRS clearances would be an advantage.
