to join our team in Edinburgh. This is a senior position, primarily workshop-based, with a key focus on developing and mentoring our current staff -- including apprentices , mechanical fitters and tyre technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the ongoing development of our workshop team through hands-on training and guidance
Work closely with apprentices to help them progress both in their college coursework and day-to-day mechanical skills
Assist the company in reviewing and improving its internal training programmes
Spend time one-on-one with team members to identify areas for improvement and help them reach their full potential
Complete training-related paperwork and liaise with colleges and training providers as needed
Support workshop operations while guiding and supervising trainees in a practical setting
What We're Looking For:
A highly experienced individual from the motor trade
Fully time-served mechanic with a strong technical background and own tools
A natural mentor with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others grow
Someone who sees potential in others and takes pride in developing people
Ideal for someone ready to progress from a workshop-based role into a more managerial/training-focused position
