We are looking for a Media Relations Officer to provide outstanding public relations support to the council as part of our busy communications team.
You will be an outstanding communicator who is able to manage media enquiries and work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including the council's corporate directors and cabinet.
You will have a good understanding of how the council works and the wider issues affecting the city and will be able to plan media and PR strategies to promote the council and its activities.
Please note this is a politically restricted post in accordance with the Local Government Act.
This post is fixed term to cover for maternity leave.
