Media Planner & Buyer (full Stack Digital + Partnerships)

Job Description

Overview


You will own both the selling (business development) and execution of performance media campaigns across social (Meta, TikTok, etc.), Google (Search, Display, YouTube), DSPs / programmatic, and potentially other channels. You will manage end-to-end delivery including strategy, execution, optimisation, reporting, and partner relationships (platforms, DSPs). You will develop media plans, negotiate with partners, monitor performance, and ensure ROI for clients.

You'll play a dual role: client-facing (selling, pitching, onboarding) and delivery (running campaigns, optimising, analysing). You will also help build relationships with Google, Meta, TikTok, and DSP providers to secure favourable access, beta opportunities, and deals.

Responsibilities



Business Development & Client Management



Pitch and sell media services to prospective clients (social, search, programmatic)

Media Strategy & Planning



Research audience segments, market trends, competitive landscapes Develop media strategies tailored to client goals (awareness, acquisition, retargeting etc.) Select appropriate channels, formats, budgets, and pacing Integrate across social, search, display, video, programmatic

Media Buying & Execution



Set-up, launch, monitor, optimise campaigns across platforms (Google Ads, DV360, The Trade Desk, Meta, TikTok, etc.) Negotiate directly with DSPs, ad networks, media owners Secure access / beta features / preferred deals with Google, Meta, TikTok & DSPs Ensure campaigns adhere to budgets, pacing, and performance goals

Reporting, Analytics & Insights



Build dashboards and reports (weekly / monthly) showing KPIs, ROI, insights, tests Analyse performance data, run A/B tests, iterate strategies Recommend shifts in media mix or strategy based on performance Coordinate with analytics / data team to tie media metrics to business outcomes

Process & Relationship Building



Maintain relationships with platform account teams (Google, Meta, DSPs) Stay on top of industry developments, tools, new capabilities, features, trends Document processes, build templates, share best practices Train junior staff or support in scaling agency processes Prepare proposals, media plans, budgets, and forecasts Act as the main point of contact for clients' digital media Manage client expectations, report performance, deliver insights and optimisations

Experience



Essential



3+ years' experience in media planning / buying across social, Google, DSPs / programmatic

Desirable / Nice to have



Certifications in Google Ads, DV360, Meta Blueprint, etc Experience with advanced measurement, attribution, MTA / MMM Working knowledge of tracking, pixels, tag management Strong Excel / SQL / BI tool experience Experience managing a small team or mentoring Proven track record of selling digital media / securing new clients Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with large data sets & attribution Experience negotiating with DSPs, ad networks, media partners Deep working knowledge of Meta Ads, Google Ads, DV360 or similar DSPs Excellent communication and presentation skills Good stakeholder management (internal & external) Target-driven, self-starter, hands-on Comfortable working in an agency fast-paced environment
