The Planning Director role will be split across the Essity portfolio (Plenty, Cushelle, Bodyform and TENA) as well as Sipsmith London, a leader within the craft gin market. Both accounts sit under the same Client Partner and you will be responsible for the line management of one Planning Executive and one Planning Manager. The two brands offer excellent opportunities for growth; Essity is retained globally by Zenith and comes with all of the opportunities surrounding a large, global, portfolio brand. Sipsmith’s brit heritage and independence also offers something different to the role, giving the successful candidate more client autonomy and a chance to really put their stamp on our media planning and management. Zenith has worked with Essity since September 2013. This role sits within a closed team consisting of a Client Partner, Planning Director, Planning Manager and Planning Executive. You will also work closely with all specialist and investment teams, along with direct support from our Group Strategy Director. We are looking for a team player who is confident to lead client comms and ensure that our excellent levels of service remain strong. A good strategic eye and ability to think outside of the box are key, along with a proactive attitude and the ability to own and run with their own projects and workload. The Work

  • Support the Client Partner to deliver outstanding work every time
  • Lead the day-to-day output of the team
  • Ensure you and junior team deliver operational excellence in all aspects of your work
  • Be lynchpin for responses to brief (RTBs) to ensure the best work comes together
The Clients
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with key, mid-level clients
  • Deliver and set an example of immaculate client service (ICS)
  • Ensure ICS is delivered by your direct reports
  • Be proactive and results orientated in day-to-day client management
  • Celebrate achievements with clients
The Commercial
  • Understand how we as a business make money, identify growth opportunities
  • Support your Business Director and/or Client Partner in driving account profitability
  • Understand contractual obligations on your clients
  • Identify and progress win:win opportunities for agency & client
The Team
  • Manage a team of 2+ Managers/executives
  • Lead by example, to help direct reports be the best they can be
  • Set clear progression plans for your team
  • Work effectively with Business Director to support client goals
  • Lead positive relationships with partner agencies and suppliers
The Agency
  • Volunteer for extra-curricular agency initiatives
  • Share and showcase your teams best work across department
  • Build strong and effective relationships with all Publicis Media practices
  • Build strong relationships with your peers, sharing knowledge and experience

  • Experience presenting to senior clients and internal peers
  • Experience getting the most out of partner relationships & presenting new-to-market concepts
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Self-motivator, able to deliver from Conception to Analysis.
  • Experience planning and optimizing across all ATL media channels
  • Good understanding of the full channel mix & confidence to have such conversations
  • Understanding of widely used industry research and benchmarking tools (TGI, Addynamix etc.)
