As a Specialist Director you will have a combination of direct client responsibilities and a wider agency remit. You will lead digital and performance for Reckitt, while consulting on relevant specialist projects and scaling the use of proprietary tools and capabilities across the business. For example our search, performance or effectiveness products. You will ensure we deliver outstanding work on your clients and relevant digital leadership across all of the agency’s client base. Reckitt is one of the largest FMCG portfolio clients in the market with household names such as Dettol, Vanish, Air Wick, Durex and Veet. It is also one of Zenith UK’s largest clients and currently bills c. £65m per annum across both the Health and Hygiene divisions. This role is working on the Hygiene side of the business which include flagship brands Vanish, Air Wick and Finish. The wider brand mix includes Harpic, Cillit Bang and Calgon too. Over the last few years we’ve seen large FMCG clients look to readdress the balance of their media mix as they see growing trends in Digital and Commerce. We have started to embark on this journey working with the Media team to help support their Digital Excellence moving beyond just driving efficiencies. Recently, Sprint teams have been supporting a wider Digital hub with a transfer of knowledge applied across markets. The opportunity is to lead and strengthen the team’s performance in this area working in tandem across both of these Business Units. This specific role will be working alongside the Business Director on Reckitt, with the remit to help elevate performance and marketing effectiveness leadership projects. The role reports into a Client Partner and the Head of Specialist Capabilities. The specific expectations for a Specialist Director at Zenith UK are as follows: The Work

  • Scale adoption of relevant Publicis/Zenith products and services across the client base
  • Lead digital strategic direction for your clients and act as a thought leader for the agency
  • Oversee the performance output of the planning team at a macro level to ensure best in class work is being produced.
  • Drive forward more strategic work streams in performance, data planning and effectiveness.
  • Instil any processes that deliver operational excellence for the agency and our clients.
  • Ensure the team are bringing innovative, best-in-class media activation ideas to the table
  • Drive the very best from our relationships with the likes of Google and Facebook, especially where JBPs may exist.
The Team
  • Help oversee a team of 2 x Directors, 2 x Managers and 2 x Executives on Reckitt Hygiene and working with the Business Director on the Reckitt Hygiene account
  • Act as a connector for the client, bringing in specialist expertise from across the Groupe where required, and in doing so also help hold senior leaders in the agency to account on any contract commitments.
  • Inspire team, and create culture where everyone thrives.
  • Set clear progression plans for the members of the team that you oversee.
  • Identify top talent and work with them to excel.
  • Lead positive relationships with senior counterparts at partner agencies and suppliers.


Qualifications
  • A confident, ambitious and motivated leader who can successfully run a team of individuals who might have different skillsets and levels of experience, but can get the best out of them as a group.
  • We like people who don’t mind where a good idea comes from, but they will keep pushing to get it over the line with passion but also sensitivity to client feedback.
  • We love strategic & inquisitive minds with a proven track record of using multiple data inputs to arrive at well-thought through and exciting media solutions
  • We’d love someone who has a growth mindset and would embrace the challenge of acting as a connector between the various elements of the Publicis Groupe business, bringing the right expertise to bear on their client’s business.
  • We want someone with experience working with client data (MMM/MTA/Brand Tracking) – interpreting and using it to fuel planning
  • We want someone who pushes their team to get the most out of partner relationships, in a bid to make the work stronger in the end.
