Media Planning Manager


This role is to lead media planning across the business, working closely with cross-functional teams (across sales & marketing) and key media agencies to deliver best-in-class TTL media campaigns, driving best practice.


This position reports into the Senior Media Lead and is based at High Wycombe 2025/Reading 2026 (hybrid).

What will you do




As Media Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we connect with consumers and customers across Northern Europe. You'll be responsible for designing and optimising TTL media plans spanning digital, influencer, and offline channels, ensuring they drive brand growth and deliver strong ROI. Beyond planning, you will help streamline and elevate ways of working between agencies and content partners, ensuring we deliver campaigns with consistency, quality, and efficiency.


You will champion global playbooks and learning agendas, embedding best practices locally while feeding back new insights to global teams and power partners. By supporting the Senior Media Lead in agency management and evaluations, and by driving innovation, you will help us unlock greater value, future-proof our media approach, and continuously raise the standard of how we go to market.


Key Responsibilities

Provide holistic support and guidance across media planning for the Northern European business for marketing and other business functions. Supporting brands with media briefing, considering strategic inputs into the plans, ensuring agencies have developed a best-in-class, multi-channel brand campaign applied across all plans. Support the brand teams in defining the integrated comms brief and ensure all the key strategic inputs (business, brand, consumer, content) are considered. Work cross-functionally (marketing, commercial, agencies & retailers) with commercial teams to effectively plan and shape TTL media campaign opportunities. Deliver stronger media plans which have the right partners (and brilliant basics), budget allocation and KPIs in place - focusing on fewer, bigger, better and higher ROI. Lead across key holistic media budget decisioning, ensuring savings and value added onto plans where possible. Ensure historical campaign learnings are shared, scaled and fed back through into brand plans (e.g. audience, channel performance, creative performance), including market intelligence & MMM. Build relationships with power partners (e.g. Google, Amazon, Meta & The Trade Desk) ensuring media opportunities are leveraged and planned, JBP and spend commitments are delivered against. Lead responsibilities in content management between agencies, streamlining delivery and continuously improving ways of working across creative, media and content production partners. Support influencer media planning and investment strategies, ensuring influencer activity is fully integrated within broader media plans and measured against ROI and brand impact. Implement and scale global media playbooks and learning agendas with key partners, ensuring best practices are applied locally and learnings are shared back to global. Drive ongoing optimisation of internal/agency planning processes and ways of working by monitoring performance, listening to and providing feedback. Support the Senior Media Lead in agency annual evaluations, contributing insights and recommendations that improve agency performance and partnerships.

What we are looking for



Minimum 5 years experience working in media Experience working with marketing teams, creative and media agencies to plan digital marketing campaigns across multiple online channels for national brands. Experience in key media planning and analytics tools (e.g. Comscore, Mediatool, Quantcast) Strong communication skills with confidence to frequently present, with an ability to communicate effectively to varying levels of stakeholders (junior - senior) Well organised, focused & able to set prioritise effectively Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking Creative problem solver Up to date with the latest trends and standard methodologies in online marketing and measurement. Strong process and project management skills Must be able to work well in cross functional teams
