Reporting to the Group Sales Director, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, drive new business, and play a pivotal role in building long-term commercial relationships across our
flagship publications, digital platforms, and global events portfolio
.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of a defined sales territory or sector, achieving and exceeding monthly revenue targets.
Proactively
develop new business
opportunities through phone, email, LinkedIn, and industry networking.
Manage and grow existing client relationships, upselling across print, digital, and event sponsorship solutions.
Build and maintain a
robust pipeline
of qualified opportunities using CRM systems.
Represent the brand at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions (UK and international travel as required).
Work closely with marketing, editorial, and event teams to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
Mentor and support junior sales executives, helping them to build confidence and refine their prospecting skills.
Track performance, prepare reports, and provide insight on market trends and competitor activity.
What We're Looking For
2-3 years of
proven media sales or event sponsorship sales experience
(B2B preferred).
Strong track record of
hitting and exceeding targets
in a fast-paced sales environment.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with confidence engaging C-level decision-makers.
Commercially minded with the ability to spot opportunities and build solutions for clients.
Proactive, resilient, and target-driven, with the ambition to progress into senior sales leadership.
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively.
Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally to meet clients and attend events.
