About the role



We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to deliver high-quality, inclusive and engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning and support pupil development. You will be responsible for teaching a well-sequenced mathematics curriculum aligned with the national curriculum, focusing on fluency in fundamental concepts, mathematical reasoning and problem solving. Through carefully planned lessons and effective use of assessment, you will ensure all pupils are supported, challenged and able to make sustained progress. You will create a positive and stimulating classroom environment where pupils feel confident to take risks, explore ideas and deepen their understanding across number, algebra, ratio, geometry, probability and statistics.

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and innovative

Media Studies Teacher and Subject Lead

to join Heron Hall Academy. This is a unique opportunity to lead the growth of Media Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5, delivering high-quality, inclusive and engaging lessons that inspire pupils to think critically, analyse deeply and create boldly. As Subject Lead, you will help shape the curriculum, embed best practices and support colleagues to ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes. You will teach in line with the EDUQAS specification, guiding pupils through key areas such as media language, representation, audiences and industries. Lessons will be enriched with real-world case studies, analytical tasks and creative media production across platforms like advertising, film marketing, music videos and online content.

This is an exciting chance to play a leading role in fostering media-literate, confident learners who are equipped for the digital age.

What we are looking for



We're looking for a Teacher who can lead and inspire. You'll bring energy to the classroom and expertise to the subject area. You should have:

QTS and a recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching at KS4 and KS5 Strong knowledge of the EDUQAS spec (or similar) A degree in Media, Film, Communications, or a related subject A passion for both theory and creative media work Leadership experience or relevant industry background is a bonus, but above all, we want someone who's passionate about media and pupil success
