We are looking for an individual who can think on their feet for an exciting fast paced position within the University of Edinburgh's School of Biological Science.
The opportunity:
The School of Biological Sciences is seeking to recruit a technician to join the Media/Wash-Up Team at the King's Buildings Campus. You will be providing media preparation, glass washing and waste management support services for research and teaching activities on a daily basis. Manual dexterity, attention to detail and a positive approach to high through-put workloads in a team environment are key requirements for the post. Awareness of laboratory procedures, particularly safe handling of waste and operation of equipment in a similar environment is desirable but full training will be provided.
The post is full-time (35 hours per week) and is a fixed term 6-month position with the potential to be extended to one year. For current University of Edinburgh employees, we are open to secondments.
