Medical Administrator

Job Description

We currently have 1 post available 1pm - 6pm, 25 hours per week over 5 days (Monday to Friday). Applicants must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties include dealing carefully, sensitively and confidentially with patients face to face and on the phone, making appointments, result handling, dealing with general enquiries, processing repeat prescription requests, liaising with other health care providers, scanning clinical correspondence and general administration. You should be a team player with a flexible approach to work and the ability to prioritise your workload around the demands of a busy reception and admin area. Experience working within a General Practice setting is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided. Salary will be dependent on experience, but will be in the region of 24869 to 26342pa pro rata. The NHS pension scheme is available and the post attracts 25 days annual leave plus 10 paid public holidays per year.
