Job Description

Work base - Mental Health Admin Team (East, South Staffs) office at St Michael's Court, Trent Valley Rd, Lichfield, WS13 6EF (with the ad hoc need to work at our community reception areas in either Lichfield, Tamworth or Burton). Hours - Mon-Fri (9 am-5 pm).



If you are an organised, resilient and experienced Administrator, we would encourage you to consider this post, working in our Mental Health Admin Team. Our Administrators are an integral part of this busy Team supporting our Medics and Clinicians administratively. Maybe you have transferrable administrative skills and would like to work for the NHS within mental health services or are ready for a change of direction in your career. This is a varied role, supporting the secondary mental health teams within the East of South Staffs.

Training is provided on our Trusts systems, eg our clinical system RIO.



Administration work for Consultant Psychiatrist/Doctors and other mental health professionals, eg handling queries, diary and clinic appointment management

Producing clinical letters eg from digital audio dictation (T-Pro)

Named point of contact for Medics/Senior Nurses, handling their queries, managing diaries etc.

Answering a large volume of calls and handling often complex queries of a challenging/sensitive nature taking concise accurate messages

Using own initiative to proactively resolve problems

Cohesive working within a centralised admin team

Personal resilience to work under pressure in this busy role

Ideally hold an NVQ level 3 admin or equivalent qualification/experience.
