Overview


We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting medicines to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while maintaining a high standard of customer service and complying with all legal processes. This role requires strong communication skills, pay attention to detail and the ability to handle heavy lifting. Responsibilities



Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary to ensure efficient delivery processes. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and any incidents that occur during transport. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure the delivery vehicle is in good working condition. Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional during all interactions with patients and healthcare organisations. Compliance with all SOPs and legal processes for delivery of medicines to patients and healthcare organisations. Must have access to own vehicle and be insured for business use. Must be able to produce an up to date DBS check within the last 3 months.

Experience



Previous experience as a Delivery Driver not required but is preferred. Valid Full UK driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands associated with the role. Familiarity with the legal processes of delivering medicines is advantageous, although training will be provided. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and customers alike.
Please note this is a zero hour contract.

The ideal candidate must be flexible with their time and be able to work Monday to Friday between 4pm to 8pm, and some Saturdays 12pm to 1pm.
