Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a MDE Driver to join our team at Alfreton



The successful applicant will drive Trust vehicles to collect medical devices and other equipment, vehicles from EMAS sites and 3rd party providers. Contributing to ensuring success of the medical devices team and ensuring the correct and properly maintained equipment is available at all times.



With a flexible approach to both hours and duties, applicants must have a full clean driving licence (minor speeding offences may be considered).

To carry out driving duties on behalf of the trust, moving equipment around the trust, primarily within the trust boundaries but occasionally beyond these.



To collect and deliver parts, tools, medical equipment and other items as requested to assist in day to day service delivery.

To ensure cleanliness and roadworthiness of vehicles used within role where appropriate.



To adopt a flexible approach in response to operational needs regarding duties, base/location and hours of work.



To maintain a level of fitness in accordance with role and attend any medical assessments to enable the post holder to safely carry out the duties post.



To keep informed and abreast of current trends and developments within the Trust and nationally.

To undertake any other duties as requested.
