Priory Hospital North London is seeking an exceptional Medical Director to lead clinical excellence and drive innovation across our hospital. What you'll be doing





The Medical Director will lead clinical excellence and innovation at Priory Hospital North London. This role requires a visionary leader with strong relationship management and influencing skills. To provide medical leadership to the Multi-Disciplinary senior management and clinical team. To ensure the consultants are appraised at least once per year in line with national standards and ensure with the Hospital Director that all other hospital medical staff receive appraisals in accordance with the Revalidation and Appraisal of Doctors according to Priory Healthcare & Partnerships in Care policy. They must also maintain their own Revalidation. Jointly with the Hospital Director, manage the complaints procedure relating to or having implications for the delivery of clinical services. To manage performance of doctors and disciplinary matters relating to doctors, including probationary reviews.

What you'll bring to the role

Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.GMC registered Medical Practitioner with a valid licence to practise. Significant experience in a senior clinical leadership role, ideally within mental health or acute hospital settings. Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop multidisciplinary teams. Strong understanding of clinical governance, regulatory frameworks, and quality improvement. Excellent communication, relationship management, and influencing skills. Commitment to continuous professional development and clinical excellence.
