Job Description

The post holder will provide an efficient administration and co-ordination service to the Medical Education Team, including ESR inputting and reporting, minute taking, e-learning support, supporting the undergraduate students and developing and maintaining systems to support the quality of medical education and training in the Trust.
Main duties of the job
To Provide general administrative support for the Medical Education Team.Communicate with Trust staff, students and external customers interested in undertaking educational courses, dealing with enquiries, and giving information. Provide administrative support for any meetings deemed relevant, including producing minutes and agendas.Provide cover for the Undergraduate Medical Education Coordinator in relation to student support. Administrative support for the Doctors Teaching and Induction Programme.Monitor and support the Consultant and Trainee Mandatory Training by recording and inputting training on ESR and chase up training.Provide administrative support with the Consultant Study Leave process by populating spreadsheets and sending out approval letters.Set up training rooms and clinical skills laboratory for teaching sessions and clear away equipment

  • ECDL/MS Office Qualifications or equivalent
  • GCSE English and Maths grade C above or equivalent
Experience

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience working in an office environment in a supporting role
  • Experience of a range of administration/secretarial procedures
  • Experience of producing standard documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Experience of working with and maintaining electronic information systems, ie databases
