Amvale Scotland is a leader in the event medical services industry in Scotland, providing specialised care at some of the most exciting events in the nation. Although our Head Office is based in Glasgow and parent company is in Scunthorpe, we have a dedicated team of Paramedics, Ambulance Technicians and First Responders working in Aberdeen.
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Controller with experience working in emergency services or an event / operational control room environment to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that we deliver a high quality event medical service by providing the communications and leadership link between our responders on the ground and partnership agencies in event control.
Core Responsibilities
Dispatching medical resources to incidents
Keeping event partner agencies updated as required
Updating dispatch software with an accurate log of incidents.
Escalating serious incidents requiring further investigation to the Medical Contract Manager.
Remaining calm under pressure with clear communication at all times.
Essential Criteria
Experience in an an operational control environment, event control or emergency services.
Previous experience using radio communication equipment.
Previous experience in a communication or customer service role.
Computer literate.
Flexibility and comfort working in an ad-hoc, zero-hours role due to the nature of the events industry.
Must be willing to undergo and pass enhanced PVG checks.
Desirable Criteria
First Responder/First Aid Qualification or a willingness to undertake this in future
