Job description



As a Human Factors (HF) Consultant you will be in a client-facing role and will be responsible for contributing to the success of Human Factors projects. You'll be applying your passion for people and strengths in analytical insight to the development and testing of medical products, from drug delivery devices to surgical instruments.

Day to day activities will include running human factors studies, interviewing, note-taking, report writing and working directly with clients. You will apply your continuously growing understanding of HF principles, practices and regulations to support our clients' development programmes and regulatory filings.

This is an international role. Our clients are around the world, but most travel is to the US, and travel can make up to 30% of your time.

You enjoy engaging with diverse stakeholders, using your good listening and communication skills to better understand the needs of clients and research participants. You are also dedicated to your team, working to build trust and offering/ asking for help when needed.

Adaptability & self-management:

You are highly organised, capable of managing multiple tasks, and flexible in adapting to changing project demands and timelines. This job can sometimes require overtime due to changing client commitments.

Tools & systems

: You have a good knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and are comfortable with learning and using new systems.

Relevant background:

An interest in medicine and medical products is crucial. A university degree (Bachelors, Masters, PhD) in Psychology, Human Factors Engineering, User Experience, Product Design, Mechanical Engineer, or a related field, is preferred. Experience in medical professions, human factors, or regulated industries is a significant advantage.

Compensation and benefits



Salary of 30,000-40,000.

Annual performance related bonus.

Additional 'inconvenience' pay for undertaking work-related travel.
