ROLE OVERVIEW:




As Cardiometabolic Health Medical Lead you will be responsible for a team of medically and scientifically qualified individuals including Medical Advisors, Medical Education Associates and Medical Scientific Liaisons (MSLs). We're looking for a highly skilled Medical leader with great cross-functional working skills to deliver strategic direction, and medical planning for the products that sit within our Business Unit of Cardiometabolic Health, both current and future.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:



Lead and develop the overall medical strategy for the Cardiometabolic Health (CMH) portfolio plus work as required on the successful launch of Lilly's CMH pipeline in the UK and Ireland. Develop medical and operational plans for the CMH portfolio. Allocation of resources to deliver outcomes. Coordinate and collaborate with above-country International Business Unit (IBU) and Global CMH teams and the relevant commercial leaders and cross-functional partners Use strong communication skills to lead the broad cross-functional team in the development of strategy and tactics. Lead, coach and develop your direct reports, empowering them to deliver on medical strategy. Build a strong CMH Medical and cross-functional culture. Ensure delivery of the medical brand plans including consideration of digital and omnichannel tactics drive reach Develop strong working relationships across our medical teams including Medical Information, Clinical Development, Investigator Engagement and Real World Evidence teams. Ensure that all programmes are 100% compliant to ABPI Code of Practice and Irish Codes of Practice, local SOPs and procedures Be an integral part of the Northern European Hub Medical Lead Team (MLT) and provide broader Medical leadership as part of this group across the NE Hub Medical Team (UK, Ireland and Nordics)

QUALIFICATIONS:



Medical or higher level scientific degree e.g. MD, Pharmacist, Nursing Degree, PhD. Minimum of 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly medical affairs is desirable. Proven success in people leadership at different levels. Experience in Cardiometabolic Health is desired Familiarity in working within a highly visible position along with proven ability to negotiate and work cross-functionally Demonstrated understanding of the local, regional and/or global medical marketplace. Ability to travel away from office, both domestic and international to the degree appropriate to support the needs of the UK & Ireland as part of the Northern European Hub. Fluent in English, verbal, and written communication.
