Competitive, based on expereicnce A family in Guildford is seeking a warm, confident and experienced medical nanny to care for their bright and resilient 4-year-old son. He is funny, cheeky, affectionate and curious, with a love of books, cars, and spending time outdoors. Despite having experienced extensive medical intervention from a young age, he remains determined, eager to learn and full of personality. He has complex medical needs and can fatigue easily. While he has some limitations in physical ability, he is resourceful and finds his own way of mastering most tasks. Due to previous medical trauma, transitions can be challenging; he responds best to gentle reassurance, clear instructions and a calm, predictable approach. He attends nursery when he is well enough, and care hours will be structured around this. The family currently employs a shared nanny, but due to limited availability they are now seeking dedicated part-time support. Please note, the family require support with overnight and holiday cover regularly. Job Requirements Provide nurturing, child-led care that supports emotional and physical wellbeing Work confidently alongside complex medical needs (full training provided) Support calm transitions, routines and gentle behavioural guidance Plan simple, engaging activities based on his interests and energy levels Accompany him to nursery and medical appointments when required Maintain clear and consistent communication with the parents Candidate Requirements Experience supporting children with medical, additional or complex needs (preferred) Warm, patient and emotionally attuned caregiving style Calm, confident and able to maintain a predictable routine Physically able to assist a child with some mobility limitations Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude Enhanced DBS issued in the last year OR on the update service Valid paediatric first aid issued in the last three years.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 25.00-30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
