Medical Negligence Solicitor
to join our team.
Role Overview
As a Medical Negligence Solicitor at Law Lane Solicitors, you will handle a caseload of medical and clinical negligence matters from inception to conclusion. You will manage all aspects of the claims process, including client engagement, evidence gathering, negotiations, and litigation. This is a
full-time, office-based
role, offering an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, experienced, and growing legal team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a varied caseload of
medical negligence claims
, including pre- and post-litigation matters.
Take detailed instructions from clients and provide clear, empathetic, and practical legal advice.
Conduct thorough investigations into claims, including obtaining medical records and expert evidence.
Draft legal documents, including letters of claim, witness statements, schedules of loss, and court pleadings.
Liaise with counsel, medical experts, and opposing solicitors to progress cases efficiently.
Attend case conferences, settlement meetings, and court hearings as required.
Ensure compliance with
SRA regulations
and firm policies on confidentiality, client care, and file management.
Contribute to departmental growth through business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (2+ years PQE preferred).
Proven experience handling medical negligence and/or clinical negligence claims.
Strong understanding of the
Pre-Action Protocol for Clinical Disputes
and relevant case law.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage a full caseload independently and meet deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Commitment to professional integrity and delivering high-quality legal services.

Pay: 36,000.00-65,000.00 per year
