We are looking to recruit two new administrators to join our friendly and committed team at The Leith Hill Practice in Capel. Whether you're starting your healthcare administration journey or bringing years of clinical admin experience, we have a role for you. We're open to hiring two Patient Administrators (entry-level), two Senior Clinical Administrators, or one of each. Both roles would report to our department lead.
Main Duties of the Job
Patient Services & Admin Assistant (Entry-Level)
- Preparing referrals, letters, and reports accurately
- Registering new patients and summarising basic medical records
- Managing patient records, screening results, and document movement
- Monitoring non-clinical stock levels and placing orders
- Performing courier runs between Capel and branch site (mileage reimbursed)
- Fire alarm testing at the branch site
- Providing shared reception cover (including evening rota)
- Reconciling dispensary till
- General administrative duties as required
Senior Patient Services & Admin Assistant
- All duties listed above, plus:
- Coding and summarising patient records (paper and electronic)
- Managing private work invoicing and Subject Access Requests
- Handling cervical screening invites and death record processes
- Reporting responsibilities: vaccinations, child immunisations, cancer care reviews, FP69s
- Liaising with CHIS and managing email communications
- Supporting carer payments and patient BP readings/averages
About You
For Patient Services Administrator:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable with IT and able to learn new systems
- Previous admin experience required; healthcare experience a plus
For Senior Clinical Administrator:
- Previous GP or clinical administration experience
- Confident with Systmone and medical terminology
- Skilled at managing sensitive information and external clinical communications
