Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, competent and reliable person to join our busy, friendly practice team. You must have the ability to cope with change and work confidently in a fast paced environment whilst multitasking and using your own initiative. Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong listening skills, a team player, flexible, able to multitask, have good attention to detail and be confident with IT.

You will provide full administration support to the partners, practice manager, and fellow team members to allow the practice to run smoothly at all times. This will include working in reception, dealing with patients in person and by phone and offering an efficient, courteous and confidential service.

Applicants must be UK based with proof of eligibility to work in the UK.



Previous experience of working in a GP practice and a knowledge of medical software systems would be advantageous; however we will accept applications from those with transferable skills who would be willing to undertake training and encourage anyone interested in moving into this sector who believe they would be a good fit to apply. While we currently use EMIS and Docman software packages, we will shortly be moving to Vision. We also use a digital online triage system (Footfall) which allows patients to communicate with us online.

The successful candidate will be eager to learn and keen to play their part in the full team.

The role is 17 hours per week, across 2 full days -

Monday 8.30am - 6pm

Friday 8.30am - 6pm

The flexibility to swap a shift to help with cover would be advantageous.

Start date is as soon as possible.



Rate of pay is 13.50-14.16 per hour, depending on experience. Annual Leave is 5 weeks pro-rata plus 10 Public Holidays.
