We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks within a busy medical environment. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently.
Answer telephone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to the appropriate staff members.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
Process patient registrations and insurance information accurately.
Assist in managing office supplies and maintaining a tidy reception area.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
Handle billing inquiries and assist patients with payment processes as needed.
Requirements
Maths & English GCSE - Grade A - C
Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred, ideally within a healthcare setting.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
