We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility and enhancing the patient experience.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with data protection regulations.
Answer phone calls promptly, directing calls to appropriate staff members.
Process patient forms accurately.
Maintain a clean and organised reception area to create a welcoming environment for patients.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and address any issues that may arise.
Requirements
Proven experience in an administrative or office role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones.
Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures is advantageous but not essential.
A compassionate attitude towards patients, displaying empathy and understanding in all interactions.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
