We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar effectively.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries or directing them to the appropriate staff member.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date.
Process patient information, including insurance details and personal data, in compliance with privacy regulations.
Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with insurance providers as necessary.
Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
Experience
Previous experience in an office or administrative role is essential; experience in a medical setting is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Proficiency in using office software and medical management systems is advantageous.
A compassionate attitude towards patients and an understanding of their needs.
