We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to handle a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations, ensuring an efficient flow of patients.
Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
Process patient registrations and insurance information accurately.
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
Perform general administrative duties such as scanning, data entry, and managing correspondence.
Essential Criteria
At least 4 GCSES or equivalent grade A-C including English.
At least 1 year's relevant experience working in an office environment or customer service environment.
Fully computer literate.
Ability to work as part of a team or use own initiative.
Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
Flexibility to cover holidays and sickness
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for interacting with patients and staff.
