Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation within the medical practice and enhancing the patient experience.

Duties



Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld. Answer phone calls professionally, addressing inquiries or directing calls as necessary. Process patient information and insurance details accurately. Handle billing inquiries and assist with payment processing. Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers. Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming at all times. Assist with other administrative tasks as required to support the medical team.

Skills



Strong administrative skills with attention to detail. Proficient in office software applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets). Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills to manage appointments and patient records efficiently. A caring and empathetic approach towards patients. Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential. Educated to A'level standard or equivalent with 5 GCSEs including English & Maths
