Receptionist
This job is in Hastings, but may be based across all our local sites
As a receptionist you are the first person that the patients meet, so it is important you are an approachable, professional representative of the practice, provide a high level of service and confidentiality to patients, but also assist doctors, nurses, visitors and other members of the Practice team. You and the team will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties. A fuller job description is available on request. Training, career progression, generous employee benefits, and remuneration will be planned and determined with the management team following a short probationary period.
Experience in a reception role would be an advantage, but interpersonal skills, flexibility and confidence on the phone and using a computer are essential.
Duties
Medical administration duties, such as call allocating, Typing , using the ERS system,
Engage consult administration.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing calendars
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
- Manage and update databases and filing systems
- Handle confidential information with discretion

- Proven experience in an administrative role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
As an Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our GP Practice . You will be responsible for handling various administrative tasks to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask will be essential in this role.
