We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organized individual to join our team as a Receptionist at our well-established GP surgery in North London. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner.
Register new patients, update existing patient records, and maintain accurate and confidential patient information.
Schedule appointments and manage the appointment system efficiently.
Answer telephone calls, handle inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Liaise with Doctors, Nurses, and other staff members to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
Manage incoming and outgoing emails, filing and data entry.
Handle patient queries, provide information on services, and address general inquiries.
Process prescriptions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
Requirements:
Knowledge or EMIS.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Previous experience in as a medical receptionist
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize and interact effectively with a diverse range of patients and colleagues.
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic medical record software.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Respect for patient confidentiality and a commitment to maintaining data protection standards.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, as per the surgery's needs.
