We are seeking a dedicated and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
Maintain patient records accurately and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
Process patient registrations and verify insurance information.
Handle billing inquiries and assist with payment processing.
Coordinate communication between patients and medical staff, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with healthcare regulations.
Experience
Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred, particularly within a healthcare setting.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Proficiency in using office software and medical management systems is advantageous.
A compassionate approach towards patient care and an understanding of medical terminology would be beneficial.
