Medical receptionist/Administrator - Podiatry Practice - Central Totnes

We have an exciting opportunity for a positive, enthusiastic person with the experience and confidence to manage our reception, help develop marketing strategies to create strong business growth and support our busy medical practitioners in an established, private Podiatry clinic in Totnes, South Devon.

We are looking for someone to cover maternity leave and work 8.5 hours per week on a Friday or a Monday with some flexibility for occasional extra days but not essential.

Manage reception and all enquiries for a busy Podiatry Clinic, providing information on all services offered by the practice. Focus on delivering excellent customer service, answering phone calls in a friendly and professional manner. Ensure fast follow up to all enquiries with the aim of booking an appointment and creating new patients for the practice. Welcome and greet all patients on arrival in a professional, friendly manner and express the caring philosophy of the practice. Manage the patients from their first appointment to ensure re-bookings/follow up appointments and a long-term professional relationship is built with all patients. Ensure all paperwork is completed promptly. Proactively manage marketing campaigns and social media posts. Assist the Podiatrists in management of their daily treatment diaries. Develop and implement effective strategies to maximise revenue and control costs. Assist in letter writing as appropriate. Manage ordering and stock-taking systems. Ensure waiting areas and stairs are kept clean, tidy and free from slip and trip hazards. End of day cleaning and maintenance of our clinical environment.

An excellent knowledge of social media and marketing ideas to assist our practice growth. Great integrity - you are trustworthy and honest. You can work both independently and in a team environment. You can follow direction as required. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills. Previous experience of working at a busy reception desk within a customer-focussed organisation. Able to build strong working relationships with the practice team. Excellent listening skills. Ability to show initiative and follow instructions. Reliable with great energy and enjoys laughter and a bit of fun every day.
