(working shifts during core hours 7.45-18.45)



Tonge Fold Health Centre is a well organised, traditional GP Practice, situated close to the A666 and Leverhulme Park. We are a long established practice, with 4 GP partners, 2 practice nurses, 2 health care assistants and an administrative team.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join us working in a busy general practice as part of our dedicated administrative team along with our friendly and supportive clinical staff.

The Post Holder will work as part administrative team in reception, clinical coding, managing QOF and supporting our clinical staff and GP Trainees.

Experience in a Primary Health Care setting is desirable., although, training will be given to expand skills required for primary care administration.

Salary according to experience.

Responsibilities



Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process. Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively. Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members. Maintain patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times. Process patient registrations and insurance information efficiently. Handle billing inquiries and assist with payment processing as necessary. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow within the practice. Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining a tidy reception area.

Skills



Previous office experience is essential, preferably in a healthcare setting. Strong administrative experience with excellent organisational skills. Proficient in using computer systems and medical software applications. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
