Medical Receptionist/Administrator (Fixed-Term Maternity Cover)
Beacon Surgery, located in the East Sussex countryside, is seeking to rectruit
three Medical Receptionists/Administrators
to join our team on a fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover.
The successful candidates will be enthusiastic, approachable and able to work effectively in a busy primary care environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient services.
The post holders will act as the first point of contact for patients, managing telephone calls and enquiries, booking appointments, and liaising with clinicians and other members of the practice team. The role also includes a range of administrative duties such as processing prescriptions and maintaining electronic records and filing systems.
As the first point of contact for patients, excellent communication skills are essential. Candidates must demonstrate a caring and professional approach, be well organised, able to work under pressure and be flexible to support service delivery, including providing cover for staff annual leave when required.
Previous experience within primary care and knowledge of the EMIS clinical system would be advantageous; however, these are not essential as full training will be given.
Providing an excellent patient experience is central to the role. We are therefore seeking individuals who are committed to high standards of customer care and willing to contribute positively to the practice team. While the role is demanding, it is also rewarding.
Appointment to this post is subject to satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and the receipt of satisfactory references.
Contract Details
These are
three fixed term maternity cover contracts
for the following hours:-
21 hours per week
18.5 hours per week
19 hours per week
The posts will involve a variety of shifts, including early starts from 8:00am and late finishes up to 6:30pm. Overtime will also be available to cover staff holiday leave.
