We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing a caring and empathetic experience both on the telephone and face to face in the practice. You will manage a variety of administrative tasks whilst interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
Schedule appointments and manage the appointment book effectively.
Handle incoming and outgoing calls, respond to appointments, medication request and results, directing calls to appropriate service.
Maintain patient records including registering and updating records
Processing electronic and paper letters, results , requests
Assist with Subject Access Requests
Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming at all times, accepting, recording and dispatching samples
Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate efficient patient flow.
Skills
Previous admin experience is essential, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
Strong administrative experience with proficiency in using microsoft office and ideally EMIS PCS and Docman 7.0
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly disposition.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills to manage schedules, records, and patient interactions efficiently.
